Uruguay’s authorities hope to start accepting foreign travelers in the second half of 2021, ailetravel.net states, citing RIA Novosti.
“This is part of the plan. I hope we can do it earlier. Everything will depend on how the pandemic proceeds,” Tourism Minister of Uruguay Herman Cardoso said.
According to him, Uruguay is considered an example of combating the epidemic and an attractive tourist destination.
According to the Ministry of Health, 14,710 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the country, while 128 patients died.
